Transportation Research Board (TRB) 98th Annual Meeting

January 13, 2019 — January 17, 2019 — Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

More than 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world will gather to discuss and take part in presentations and sessions focusing on “Transportation for a Smart, Sustainable, and Equitable Future”.

Two of the NRC’s rail experts from the Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Centre will be acting in a technical session called Design and Maintenance for Improved Wheel and Rail Life on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:15 pm (Lectern session 1281, see full program).

The session will be chaired by the NRC’s principal wheel-rail expert, Eric Magel.

Daniel Szablewski, an NRC expert in wheel and rail materials, will be the first presenter speaking on The Influence of Wheel-Rail Metallurgy on Wheel-Rail Performance.
