Software for Processing, Displaying and Analyzing Multidimensional MRI and CSI Data

NRC’s Magnetic resonance technology researchers have developed a software package called Marevisi™. Marevisi™ is designed to be a complex tool for processing, displaying, and analyzing various types of multidimensional data (up to 10 dimensions) obtained in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Chemical Shift Imaging (CSI) experiments. The MRI and CSI capabilities are combined in the same suite.

The image processing transforms raw data into image, with T1 and T2 map capability. Marevisi™ also provides statistical analysis and 3D image display. Calculations can be performed for T1, T2, ADC, diffusion weighted, and proton data. Marevisi™ is also capable of adding or subtracting images that could be used, for example, in analyzing fMRI data or blood flow before, during, and after a stroke.

Marevisi™ is currently being used at many research institutes around the world and is compatible with most computer operating systems. The software is a PC-based program that is easy to use with a graphical user interface and has the ability to be customized.
