Air diffusion cathodes for fuel cells
The NRC, in cooperation with MagPower Systems Inc, has developed a non-noble air diffusion cathode for fuel cells and a cost-effective, continuous process for its fabrication patent pending).
The present technology provides a simplified air diffusion cathode that exhibits improved performance and corrosion resistance. The method involves the application of hydrophobic paste and catalyst enriched paste/ink directly onto a current collector, the current collector providing a support structure for hydrophobic paste and catalyst paste/ink.
