Design & modeling
CPFC offers device and circuit design services which complement CPFC's core fabrication services. The CPFC team of experts will verify a client's existing design to ensure optimal manufacturability and suggest possible design changes to improve both yield and/or overall design and circuit performance. CPFC's expertise and in-house capabilities include the following areas:
- An extensive suite of commercial and in-house optical and electrical device simulation tools based on BPM, FD, FDTD and FEM.
- Modeling and analysis of stress and stress induced effects in photonic devices.
- Full design capability in active and passive optoelectronic devices, from specification of a wafer layer structure to final layout of complex waveguide circuits.
- Device level electrical and optical modeling of active and passive devices.
- Process flow architecture.
