Advanced Manufacturing and Design Systems program

By maintaining its market share, the Canadian automotive parts sector can benefit from the rapid growth occurring outside of the North American and European automotive markets. The Advanced Manufacturing and Design Systems (AMDS) program supports Canadian automotive parts suppliers by developing a set of innovative technologies that they can adopt to improve their product design, quality, manufacturability and cost structure.

The AMDS program improves product design and reduces the design, development and manufacturing costs for Canadian automotive parts suppliers by developing, validating and commercializing key processing and manufacturing technologies. These innovations will contribute to the development and strengthening of this industry within Canada while substantially increasing its global competitiveness through more efficient manufacturing processes.
