Volunteer for Commission membership
NRC is no longer actively recruiting for new members to serve on the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes (CCBFC) in the 2015-2020 code cycle. However, individuals interested in participating in important national codes development work as a Standing Committee member are invited to submit their expression of interest at any time using the electronic form below. These submissions will be retained for consideration in the subsequent code development cycle as well as to fill vacancies. Please indicate which Standing Committee(s) you are interested in joining, include a 120-word summary of your relevant experience and attach/append your resume.
If you know of a good candidate for one of these committees, please encourage them to submit an expression of interest using the same form.
The CCBFC oversees the work of nine Standing Committees whose members apply their experience in the following technical areas:
- Earthquake Design
- Energy Efficiency in Buildings
- Environmental Separation
- Fire Protection
- Hazardous Materials and Activities
- Housing and Small Buildings
- HVAC and Plumbing
- Structural Design
- Use and Egress.
A confirmation message will be sent to your email address when your submission has been received. If you do not receive this message, please Contact the Codes Centre.
