Individual Evaluation Reports and Listings in the Registry can easily be found in one of four ways: by Report or Listing number, by manufacturer's name, by product name, and by MasterFormat division number.

Each Evaluation Report and Listing bears two numbers that are used for locating the Report or Listing. The first number is a five-digit number followed by an "R" indicating "Report" or "L" indicating "Listing"; for example, CCMC 12070-R. This number is found on each Listing and on the first page of each Report.

The second number, which is located on each Listing and on the first page of each Report, is the MasterFormat "section" number; for example Reports say "Division xx xx x.xx."  Listings have the number only. The 16-division North American MasterFormat system is the basic index to all CCMC publications. It has been used so as to correlate the information with such other construction industry publications as the National Master Specification (NMS). The first two digits in the MasterFormat number indicate the broad-scope division. In the example 07 25 10.03, "07" means Division 7, which is the division entitled "Thermal and Moisture Protection."
