NRC HIA is committed to excellence in astrophysical research through provision of first-class facilities and services to Canadian researchers and the direct participation of its staff in research.
We operate telescopes in Victoria and Penticton and, through international partnerships, provide Canadian researchers with access to the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) and the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) in Hawaii and to the Gemini Observatory, twin 8-m optical telescopes in Hawaii and Chile.
