ALMA Request Handler:
On Tuesday March 18, the CADC released the first functional version of the ALMA Request Handler to the ALMA Archive Group. After ALMA becomes operational the Request Handler will be the primary conduit for data between the ALMA archive and ALMA users.
The first release of the Request Handler supports internet access to data products already stored in the archive. ALMA archive staff at ESO will now implement the site specific code required by the Request Handler, and incorporate the Request Handler into the ALMA Science Archive.
Work has commenced on the second release of the Request Handler, which will add support for on-demand data processing of archived data, and the ability to deliver data on physical media.
MegaPipe:
The MegaPipe pipeline completed its second run last month. The pipeline takes multiple MegaCam images of a patch of sky, calibrates them, combines them into a single image and extracts a source catalogue. The pipeline has been run on all publicly available MegaCam images; this includes all images that became public as of September 1st, 2007. Sky coverage has doubled, to 700 square degrees. The coverage can been seen at:

MegaPipe data has now been downloaded by 500 users. In addition to delivering this "ready-to-wear/pret-a-porter" data, in the last three months MegaPipe has processed (on request) "custom-tailored/bespoke" data to 6 investigators, totalling 2.5T
Version 1.60 of the Gemini Science Archive is released
New functionality includes:
The CADC has released a new tool so astronomers can quickly and easily find our best data products: Quick Search is available on the CADC home page. This tool is easy to use and supports searching by target name or position and allows users to get to the data with only a few clicks. The system currently includes a variety of calibrated image data: CGPS (21cm continuum), CFHT (Megacam), Gemini (GMOS), HST (WFPC2 and ACS), IRAS (IRIS), and JCMT (SCUBA) but is continually updated with new products and collections. The same content is also available through VO-compliant Simple Image Access services and through Octet, our advanced observation search tool.
CADC/CFHT/Terapix Legacy Survey World Wide Data Release
On Feb. 16 2007 the first world-wide release of CFHTLS/Terapix Image stacks and Catalogs occurred. These data products, referred to as the CFHTLS T0003 Release, contain stacked images and multi-filter source catalogs of the 4x1 square degree CFHTLS Deep Fields [exposure times of up to 100 kilo seconds in I band] as well as 101 squared degrees of imaging in r' filter, about 60 of which have observations in each of g', r', and i', from the CFHTLS Wide Survey. CADC is the sole distributer of these of these Advanced Data Products are now open to any individual with a CADC user account.
