CFHT Archive
The CADC's CFHT Catalog is the listing of observations obtained with the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope on Mauna Kea, Hawaii, from February 1990 to the present. It allows searches by important criteria such as object name and project ID, and presents the results of the search in a tabular format. The Archive Data Retrieval facility allows CFHT users to request and receive archival data and, for some imaging data, also provides previews of CFHT data.
The observations that comprise the Canadian Galactic Plane Survey (CGPS) are the product of an international Consortium, which mapped all the major interstellar components of the Milky Way. The principal goal of the project is the creation and scientific analysis of a database of panoramic, high-resolution images of all the major components of the interstellar medium (ISM).
The CADC's Gemini Science Archive (GSA) is a database of observations obtained with the twin 8-meter optical/infrared telescopes located on two of the best sites on our planet for observing the universe: Mauna Kea, Hawaii (Gemini North Telescope) and Cerro Pachon, Chile (Gemini South Telescope). Together these telescopes can access the entire sky. Developed as a collaborative effort between the CADC and Gemini observatory, the GSA provides the scientific community with the tools required for effective online access to data collected by the two telescopes. The system is continuously updated with new observations as well as new tools and capabilities.
The JCMT Science Archive is the official distribution site for observational data obtained with the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope on Mauna Kea, Hawaii, and is a collaboration between the Canadian Astronomy Data Centre (CADC), Victoria and the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT), Hilo.
Maps produced by the Balloon-borne Large-Aperture Sub-millimeter Telescope (BLAST) are hosted by the CADC.
The CADC's Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) Archive allows searches by important criteria such as object name and program ID, and presents the results of the search in a tabular format. The CADC Data Retrieval facility allows archive users to request and receive archival data and also provides previews of final data products as well as intermediate data files.
The CADC hosts the Canadian version of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Archive which the complete listing of all observations obtained with the Hubble Space Telescope. The Hubble Archive project is a collaboration between the NRC's Canadian Astronomy Data Centre (CADC), Victoria and the The Space Telescope European coordinating Facility, ST-ECF, Munich and the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) in Baltimore.
The Microvariability and Oscillation of Stars Telescope (MOST) data archive is hosted by the CADC.
The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Legacy Survey (CFHTLS) is a major imaging project aimed at solving fundamental astrophysical questions in our understanding of planetary systems and the distant Universe. More than 450 nights of CFHT time will be devoted to the Survey over the next five years. The Survey makes use of the new MegaPrime imager at CFHT. The CFHTLS project is a collaboration between the CFHT corporation, le Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique de France, le Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique and the National Research Council of Canada.
