The time to sign your kids up for summer camps is now! In July, we will run two sessions of week-long summer camps for young astronomy enthusiasts. These camps are perfect for the curious child who has hundreds of questions about space or even science in general.

The week of July 6th to 10th will see our Little Galileos (grades 1 & 2) making comets, building moon-bases and learning their ways through the night sky and space.

The Junior Astronomers (grades 3 to 6) will spend the week of July 13th to 17th immersed in scientific activities. In addition to tracking sunspots and creating sky-maps, these young astronomers will learn about lenses and build a working telescope.

Both camps run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and cost $175 (+tax) for the week. Registration includes an astronomy survival-kit from our gift shop and one special night of guided telescope-observing exclusively for astronomy campers.

Register soon as space is limited. Call us at 250-363-8262 or e-mail cu@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca.
