LeakFinderRT is a PC based system for locating leaks in all types of water pipes using the leak noise correlation method. It incorporates several new developments, most importantly an "enhanced" correlation function. LeakFinderRT is fully realized in software for PC's running under Microsoft Windows. Leak noise is recorded using the PC's soundcard and then correlated via the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Thanks to the LeakfinderRT technology, small and medium sized municipalities will be able to afford to locate and fix leaks in their distribution systems that, if left undetected, could eventually result in significant costs.
