Durable Masonry
The Institute for Research in Construction has studied masonry structures for over 50 years and its researchers have published many publications on the subject of masonry performance and service life.
Current Projects
NRC-IRC research on masonry currently concentrate on the following two projects:
- Performance and durability of repointing mortars for older masonry structures
- Monitoring the Long-Term Performance of the Peace Tower in Ottawa Canada
