Production and purification of algal biotoxins
This project is aimed at developing methods for the large scale production of toxic algal biomass and the isolation, purification and semi-synthesis of biotoxins up to the gram-scale. The materials produced will be used in studies focused on the development of analytical methods and certified reference materials, the identification of new toxins, and the understanding of the mode of action and possible therapeutic applications.
