BioIntelligence

BioIntelligence research objectives are to explore and develop new paradigms for tomorrow’s patient care and optimum yield in bio-productions to improve health and the quality of health care.

The current focus is to develop and advance artificial intelligence and bioinformatics technologies to facilitate in part the development of intelligent clinical decision support tools and systems to improve patient care for early detection, accurate diagnosis/prognosis of disease, and better personalized therapeutic management.

BioIntelligence research focus in three main areas:

The Identification of Proteins Targeting the Tumor Microenvironment for Therapeutic Applications and the Biorenewable Oil for Food and Fuel are projects in partnership with the National Research Council (NRC) Genomics and Health Initiative (NRC-GHI) Cancer Program. In April 2008, the NRC-GHI launched the phase IV research program GHI 4 as a continuation of the GHI 3 Cancer Program which is expected to end in March 2012.
