MRI Systems
Researchers in the Magnetic Resonance Technology Group are developing a low-field, low-maintenance, low-cost, high-quality image magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system that can be used for humans living in remote areas. The researchers also develop MRI compatible devices, MRI electronics, and low-field magnets for use with human and veterinarian MRI systems.
Due to the importance of oil and gas to Canada's economy, the MR Technology group has also started working with universities, industry, and IBD (West) to develop MR-based devices for more efficient and effective methods to determine the quality of produced hydrocarbons.
