Engineered Materials for Energy at NINT

The Engineered Materials for Energy research theme has been recently formed at NINT to address research opportunities in the energy fields that can be solved through nanomaterials expertise.

Members include Michael Brett, who specialized in fabrication and applications of porous thin films, and David Mitlin, who is an expert in nanostructured metal alloys formed by sputtering.

Internal collaborators include Dr. Andriy Kovalenko with interests in theory and modelling, and Dr. Jillian Buriak, working on materials for solar cells. Key research projects are development of organic solar cells and of hydrogen storage materials.
