CRM-SPX1 is is a calibration solution CRM designed for use in chemical analysis methods. Each ampoule contains approximately 0.5 mL of a solution of 13-desmethyl spirolide C (desMeC) in methanol at a certified concentration of 10.2 µM. Spirolides are members of the spiroimine group of toxins, which includes gymnodimine, pinnatoxins and pteriatoxins. Spiroimine toxins cause a characteristic rapid death in the mouse bioassay and have been called "fast-acting toxins".
