The Certified Reference Materials Program at the NRC Institute for Marine Biosciences has expanded it's range of products and now includes its first freshwater toxin CRM. Several species of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) produce a class of toxins called cyanotoxins, which can pose a serious health risk to both animals and humans in various regions of the world.
