Bioanalytical Chemistry
The Bioanalytical Chemistry program focuses on developing analytical tools and reference materials for marine and freshwater biotoxins of importance to human health and international trade, and on exploring possible therapeutic applications of biotoxins.
We are recognized worldwide for development and application of advanced analytical methodologies for biotoxins and other natural products. The group also operates the Certified Reference Materials Program, which is the only source of algal biotoxin CRMs serving the global market.
Our bioanalytical chemistry researchers have internationally recognized expertise in analytical separations, mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, Certified Reference Materials, and chemometrics.
