“Our government invests in innovative research to keep Canada competitive and capture the potential of the global digital economy,” said the Minister of State Goodyear. “Our long-term economic competitiveness depends on supporting businesses that innovate, create high-value jobs and reach out to national and international markets.”
Herd North America Inc. will receive up to $99,999 through DTAPP to adopt new software, which will allow the company to create two new jobs and to integrate finance, accounting, manufacturing, sales and customer service information across the organization. This system will allow Herd North America Inc. to improve the flow of information between all business functions and to better manage customer relations.
“We are very appreciative of the support we received through DTAPP in terms of funding as well as advice, which was so helpful in the process,” said Marc Daudet, President and CEO of Herd North America Inc. “Programs like DTAPP provide the extra incentive and encouragement to move to the next level. We expect continued growth and improved productivity. Thank you for your continued support.”
Founded in 2003, Herd North America Inc. is a leading manufacturer of animal protection guards for commercial trucks. The firm’s standard line of products provides an effective solution against wildlife collisions. NRC-IRAP has been working with Herd North America Inc. since June 2012.
Economic Action Plan 2012 provides substantial direct support for research and development and business innovation, leading to job creation, growth and long-term prosperity for Canadians.
