Announcements - Cabinet ministers welcome new president to NRC

Industry Minister Tony Clement and Minister of State (Science and Technology) Gary Goodyear visited NRC on April 27 to participate in a special meeting of the NRC Council and welcome incoming President John McDougall. In separate presentations, the ministers said they wanted to see NRC achieve its full potential as a valuable national institution.

Minister Clement thanked Mr. McDougall for accepting the position at NRC's helm. "NRC is going to play a vital role in the government's plans," he told Council.
Minister Goodyear said that NRC’s people are a great asset and pledged his support as NRC moves forward to maximize its contributions to Canada.
