Monitoring of Leakage in Wastewater Force Mains
Summary
This patented technology uses sensors to detect leaks between two points on a pipe carrying fluids under pressure. Signals are generated at the sensors by noise and vibration resulting from the flow of liquid being drawn through the pipe and the position of the leak is determined by correlating the leak noise signals generated while the pipe is under negative pressure.
