The Digital Technology Adoption Pilot Program (DTAPP) is structured to provide assistance to firms in all sectors of the Canadian economy. The objective of the pilot is to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in small- and medium-sized enterprises operating in Canada so they can boost their productivity and create economic growth and opportunity. Investments in digital technologies have been shown to enable business transformation and innovation, leading to advances in productivity and job creation.
Through DTAPP, NRC-IRAP Industrial Technology Advisors (ITAs) with experience in digital technology adoption processes will work with firms to assist them through the process of implementing new digital solutions.
To be eligible for DTAPP services or funding, your firm must:
- have 500 employees or less;
- be incorporated, for-profit and operate in Canada;
- be growth oriented;
- demonstrate plans to carry out a project designed to adopt digital technologies.
To promote the benefits of digital technology adoption and to better understand the link between digital technologies and productivity, firms must be willing to participate in assessments of the operational and strategic results and outcomes of their DTAPP engagement. Details of the information to be collected will be explained to each firm before they commit to taking part in DTAPP.
The delivery of DTAPP also relies on the participation of colleges and not-for-profit organizations. To be considered for DTAPP services, there are eligibility requirements that your college or not-for-profit organization will be required to meet.
