Colleges with the capability and capacity to deliver digital technology adoption services to individual small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and groups of SMEs may be funded to assist in the delivery of the Digital Technology Adoption Pilot Program to SMEs.

To be eligible for DTAPP services or funding, your college must demonstrate that it can:

  • catalyze community engagement/awareness with a specific purpose to enable SMEs to adopt digital technologies to increase their productivity; or
  • provide an expert technical/ information/business service to SMEs to assist them in adopting digital technologies to increase their productivity.

The term “college” refers to a community college, institute of technology (e.g. polytechnics), not-for-profit post-secondary private college or public college (e.g. CEGEPs).

To promote the benefits of digital technology adoption and to better understand the link between digital technologies and productivity, reporting requirements for colleges are incorporated into their contribution agreements. Essentially, they allow NRC-IRAP to collect and report on the number and types of services each college renders to SMEs.
