Building Science Insight is a national seminar series presented by the National Research Council Institute for Research in Construction to provide construction professionals with practical information.

Webcasts of Building Science Insight 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2008/09 are now available.

Each seminar focuses on a single topic and reports the results of IRC research, complemented by information from other organizations in North America and abroad. Documentation for these seminars in the form of articles and background papers is subsequently placed on the IRC Web site for free access, as listed below.

Although certain aspects of the information presented at some seminars may now be dated, overall the publications available here remain largely relevant in today's context.

Because of unforeseen circumstances, NRC Institute for Research in Construction is cancelling this year’s Building Science Insight seminar, titled Building Information Modeling (BIM). NRC-IRC will begin issuing full refunds shortly.

Planning is underway, however, for a renewal of the series in late 2012. The seminar team will be looking at a range of possible topics as well as other ways to bring NRC-IRC’s knowledge to you. At the same time, they will also be taking store of various technical concerns in construction to ensure that seminar content dovetails better with industry needs.
