NRC-IBD (Atlantic) operates the BMRL at the IWK Health Centre.
This multi-user lab hosts a 3 Tesla horizontal bore magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system for small animal studies and a 7 Tesla vertical bore magnet for micro imaging studies.
The lab is equipped for a wide array of MRI studies including drug development and delivery, and cellular/molecular imaging.
Strategically located within the heart of the medical research community, the research focuses on non-invasive monitoring of new therapies and fundamental studies of anatomy and physiology.
