Environmental Chamber

No need transport expensive equipment and personnel to extremely remote climates – the Hydrogen Environmental Chamber (HEC) allows companies and researchers to test and evaluate their systems or products in conditions that simulate various parts of the world, from the Northwest Territories to India.

Operating from NRC-IFCI’s state-of-the-art facilities on the University of British Columbia campus, companies also have easy access to utilities, communication, transportation, and shipping.

Applications:

  • Applications for energy systems developers and integrators.
  • Operate a car or park a stationary power system inside, the HEC has been successfully used to test hybrid vehicles, unmanned aircraft and fuel cell technology.
  • Can comfortably accommodate full-sized vehicles as large as a mid-size delivery van.
