Business Incubator
To help increase the innovation capacity of small and medium-sized firms and improve technology transfer, NRC-IFCI offers companies the chance to co-locate at our world-class research space located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Known as Industry Partnership Facilities (IPFs), these facilities offer unique services to innovative technology-driven companies.
IPF residents have an unmatched opportunity to access in one place outstanding research facilities, research expertise and services offered by the NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program and the NRC Canada Institute for Scientific Information. Locating at an NRC facility also provides access to all-important networking opportunities at both the international and national level.
Co-locating at NRC is about much more than real estate, or routine business services, such as photocopying, IT support and free parking. Companies incubating at NRC are more than just tenants; in a number of cases they pursue research collaborations with NRC. Co-location creates a stable environment in which to grow but, most importantly, it creates access.
