Newly Refurbished Engine Test Cells
IAR has significantly expanded its gas turbine engine test capabilities, with two new test cells capable of handling both liquid fuel and natural gas. Each has a new control room with all-new LabView data systems.

These are the only commercially available test cells in Canada that meet all current federal and provincial labour codes for working with natural gas. The upgrades are based on the very successful testing done in one of IAR's existing test cells, for General Electric and Pratt & Whitney.
With these new facilities, the IAR engine test team is ready to:
- certify engine designs
- verify performance and durability
- set fuel control schedules
- certify for ice, hail, birds and water.
