The Gemini Observatory has been working, with input from the Gemini Board, on a proposed model for the future operations of the Gemini Observatory.
As you may know, the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the Gemini partnership at the end of 2012 will result in a reduction in the Gemini Observatory's budget for operations and maintenance that could be as large as 25%. A Transition Plan has been developed to operate within this reduced budget, and a draft of it is now being made public.
The Gemini Board is now interested in receiving community feedback on the Transition Plan (PDF version, 1 439 KB). Please note that access to this document is provided as a courtesy only. Therefore, it is provided in the language and format in which it was communicated to us.
