Printable Electronics for Smart Packaging & Interactive Displays Workshop

Presentation: What key intelligent packaging applications can be supported by Printable Electronics?

Speaker: Dr. Ye Tao, National Research Council of Canada

Date: April 7, 2017

Schedule: 10:50 – 11:20 a.m.

Abstract: Printable Electronics is a rapidly growing technology that will enable the manufacturing of flexible and low cost electronic devices, which covers from simple printed conducting lines, resistors, capacitors, to piezoelectric devices, OLEDs, OFETs, OPV, and memory cells. More complicated electronic devices can be formed using these basic building blocks to perform logic, sensing, human-machine interaction, and control functions. In this talk, Dr. Tao will discuss what Printed Electronics can offer in the intelligent or smart packaging area, and demonstrate its potential in sales promotion, brand protection, item tracking, and shipping process monitoring.
