The Ionizing Radiation Standards group at the NRC Institute for National Measurement Standards (NRC-INMS) and Carleton University will host the 15th BEAMnrc Workshop.
BEAMnrc is a multi-platform software package developed at NRC that simulates radiotherapy accelerators using Monte Carlo techniques. It is used worldwide in cancer treatment planning research and is featured in hundreds of published articles.
This interactive 4-day workshop will emphasize hands-on experience, giving students an opportunity to model their own accelerators and use CT-data to calculate patient dose distributions.
