Assessment Strategies and Tools:

Learning Objective: Locate and observe the vascular system in selected plant samples.

Assessment Strategy: Students will locate and show the teacher the vascular bundles in a stem and a flower sample.

Assessment Tool: Using a checklist, indicate whether or not the student is able to locate and point to the vascular bundles.

Learning Objective: Communicate observations of the vascular system in stem and petal samples.

Assessment Strategy: Students will make labelled drawings of a stem cross-section and a flower petal.

Assessment Tool: Rating Scale.
