Week 1 - January 28 - start
Step One - Introduction to the Canadian National Marsville Programme
Step Two - Astronaut Training
Step Three - Team Assignment
- Assign team roles for design phase of Canadian National Marsville programme
Week 2
Step Four - Mars Background
- Students learn all about conditions of Mars
- Continue Astronaut Training
- Start Mission Patch - post to Team Blog
Week 3
- Begin science experiments in Digging Deeper section
- Continue Astronaut Training
- Know Mars facts to incorporate into system design
Week 4
- Begin engineering activities in Digging Deeper section
- Continue Astronaut Training
- Mission Patch content on Team Blog
Week 5 (until 2 weeks prior to Link-up Day) - System Designs
Step Five - System Designs
- Design and construct working prototype for life-support system
- Continue Astronaut Training (if doing for whole length of programme)
Weeks 6-9
- Work on system designs and Team Blog
Weeks 10-11 or 3 Weeks Prior to Link-up Day
Step Six - Habitat Crews
- Complete system designs
- Create Team lunch, Team Uniform
2 Weeks Prior to Link-up Day
Step Seven - Link-up Day Preparations
- Work on Habitat Crew activities
1 week prior to Link-up Day
- Complete all Canadian National Marsville activities
- Prepare for Link-up Day event
- Team Mission Log complete as far as possible
