NRC-BRI, Montréal, Québec
The NRC Biotechnology Research Institute (NRC-BRI) is part of the National Research Council Canada. Located in Montreal, NRC-BRI is the largest Canadian research facility devoted to biotechnology.
Since its inception in 1987, it has earned an enviable reputation as a leading national and international biotechnology R&D facility.
The research programs focus on three sectors of activities – health, bioprocess and environment. This NRC institute promotes, assists and performs leading-edge research and development closely link to the needs of industry, academia and other governmental agencies.
At the heart of the greater Montréal biotechnology cluster, NRC-BRI is the cornerstone of a network of R&D centers dedicated to biotechnology. This network is not only the most important in Canada but it earned worldwide recognition for its excellence in the field of biotechnology research.
