A number of NRC researchers have been recognized internationally as leaders in their field. And where else but NRC have employees won a Nobel Prize for science, an Academy Award and helped Canada capture Olympic Gold. By becoming a member of the NRC team, you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with current and future experts. Perhaps you are one of them!
Pride of being associated with a key contributor to Canada

Outstanding facilities and state of the art equipment
NRC staff work in some of the best facilities in Canada. NRC covers the range of leading edge facilities, with a one-of-a-kind Environmental Chamber for testing fuel cells, an ultrafast laser laboratory, the NRC Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre... In the near future, what will be the quietest space in Canada? What will be the new specialized facilities being build for nanotechnology research?
The core of NRC's performance and success is the knowledge, imagination and dedication of its staff. NRC challenges all employees to be creative and innovative and creates the environment that enables one and all to do just that.
NRC recognizes that workplace learning -- the ability to create, extend and integrate knowledge -- is key to helping NRC achieve its business goals. As such, it encourages all employees to participate in professional development activities from conferences to workshops to on-line courses. Our in-house programs and services are designed to enhance the ability or "agility" to learn and adapt in a constantly changing environment.
NRC employees enjoy a whole range of benefits including: The Public Service Dental Care Plan (PSDCP), Public Service Health Care Plan, Disability Insurance, leave entitlements, Superannuation (pension), Supplementary Death Benefit, and travel benefits.
