Emerging Technologies - Platforms
François Cordeau was appointed Vice-President, Emerging Technologies – Platforms in April 2016. Previously, he was the General Manager of the NRC Information and Communications Technologies portfolio from 2013 to 2016.
Prior to joining NRC, Mr. Cordeau was President and Chief Executive Officer of Roctest from September 2004 to March 2012. Roctest, a company listed on the TSX, was sold to an American group in December 2010. Prior to that date, starting in 1985, he occupied various executive positions with the Semiconductor Division of Mitel Corporation including: Vice-President Operations, President of the Swedish subsidiary, President of the British subsidiary, Senior Vice-President of Mitel Corporation and General Manager of Mitel Semiconductor until 2001. He worked as a consultant until 2003 when he joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as senior partner for private investments. He sat on the board of directors of companies both in Canada and Europe.
Mr. Cordeau is a graduate from Sherbrooke University in electrical engineering and holds a master's degree in the same field from Waterloo University, as well as a diploma in Business Administration from Sherbrooke University.
