Scope

These Evaluation Listings apply to a single layer of a multi-ply, prefabricated modified bituminous and reinforced membrane for roofing. The membrane may be fully adhered, partially attached, or loose laid. The proponent has demonstrated that the product meets the requirements of CGSB 37-GP-56M-1980 (including Amendment No. 2 dated December 1985), "Membrane, Modified, Bituminous, Prefabricated, and Reinforced for Roofing."

Classification:

The membrane shall be supplied in rolls or sheets in the following Types, Classes and Grades, as specified:

1. Evaluation

The product conforms to CGSB 37-GP-56M, “Membrane, Modified, Bituminous, Prefabricated, and Reinforced for Roofing,” as a Type 2a, Class C, Grade 1 membrane.

2. Description

The product is made from a styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) modified bitumen self-adhering asphalt blend that is reinforced with a 90 g/m2 glass fibre mat.  The product’s upper surface is coated with sand and the underside is coated with an opaque release film.

The product is available in 1-m-wide x 20-m-long rolls.
