Working with clients and partners, the National Research Council Canada provides strategic research, innovation support, scientific and technical services to develop and deploy solutions to meet Canada's current and future industrial and societal needs. Your Challenge
The Director, Operations is responsible to the Portfolio General Manager for managing Portfolio operations, including the processes for the implementation of strategic, policy, and business plans to enable the portfolio to meet its objectives in the provision of research and technology development support to Portfolio sector and in support of Government priorities. The position provides oversight of support programs including interface with corporate common services and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and ensures the alignment, operational efficiency, and integration of services.
Screening Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Education
Degree in science, engineering or business. Preference may be given to candidates with a combination of technical and business education.
Experience
Significant and recent experience in leading, and managing human, financial, and project resources.
Significant and recent experience working with multidisciplinary R&D teams and programs within a large, complex organization.
Experience applying the theories, principles and applications of formal project management.
Condition of Employment
- Level II (Secret)
- Travel may be required.

Salary Range
From $99,900 to $129,700 per annum.
